## Description

Durham Roller Derby is an empowering women's flat track roller derby team located in County Durham, UK. Established in February 2014 by a dedicated group of nine skaters, the league has significantly expanded to represent Durham at competitive events across the UK. Driven by a passion for the sport, Durham Roller Derby operates as a community-focused league run by skaters, for skaters.

With a vibrant team structure, they offer various levels of participation, including an advanced bouting team and developmental squads. The organization welcomes all female-identifying and non-binary skaters over 18, providing a comprehensive 12-week beginners program for newcomers, as well as full-contact training for progressing rookies. Committed to inclusivity, the team also encourages volunteers and officials of any gender to join, aiming to create a space where everyone can engage with the sport. As they prepare to compete in the upcoming Five Nations championships, Durham Roller Derby continues to foster a dynamic and supportive roller derby community.
