## Description

Duros Escalade is a volunteer-run climbing club based in Langon, in the Gironde department of France. As an association, it offers scheduled climbing sessions for children, pre-teens, teenagers and adults, with groups organized by age and, for some sessions, climbing experience. Adult autonomous climbing times are reserved for members holding the club’s Passeport Orange, while other adult sessions and a mixed teen-and-adult slot are also available. The club’s program is structured around the school year, with courses pausing during school holidays; occasional open climbing sessions may be announced to eligible members.

New members begin with a pre-registration request and, if a place is available, an introductory trial session before completing enrollment. The trial lets prospective climbers decide whether the sport suits them; it is not described as a skill-based selection. Places are limited, and the club manages a high volume of applications through a defined registration process. Existing members renew first, with new-member requests opening later in the summer.
