## Description

The Dutch Adhesion Group (DAG) is a specialist-led organization focused on increasing knowledge and awareness of adhesions, particularly those that can develop after abdominal surgery. Its central aim is to reduce the harmful effects of adhesions and support surgery without adhesion-related complications. The group pursues this work through scientific research into the consequences of adhesions and ways to prevent them, then shares findings through guidelines, research publications, and presentations at conferences.

DAG provides information for both healthcare professionals and patients. Professional resources cover the diagnosis and treatment of adhesions, current studies, and related research. Patient information explains the effects of adhesions and includes personal video accounts from people living with adhesion-related pain. The site also introduces CineMRI, an imaging technique used to identify adhesions, and describes the AWARE study and other research activities.

The group publishes Adhesief, a newsletter featuring developments in adhesion research. DAG also offers information about its mission and vision and invites questions, website feedback, and requests for a speaker through its contact channel.
