## Description

The Dutch Wildlife Health Centre (DWHC) is dedicated to enhancing knowledge about the health of wildlife in the Netherlands while ensuring this information serves public health and the well-being of both domesticated and wild animals. Through its comprehensive online platform, the DWHC provides valuable insights on diseases affecting various wildlife species, accessible via disease or species categories.

One key initiative is encouraging the public to report dead wildlife, which can be done through a user-friendly reporting form available on their website. The DWHC actively investigates notable wildlife health incidents, including ongoing studies of disease patterns in species like the European beaver, which serves as the center's focal species for 2023 and 2024.

In addition to its health surveillance efforts, the DWHC collaborates with various organizations to address issues like African swine fever. With a commitment to wildlife health, public education, and research, the DWHC plays a vital role in preserving the ecological balance within the Dutch ecosystem.
