## Description

DWRissler-art.com is the portfolio and information site of Seattle-based artist Donald W. Rissler. His paintings explore subjects ranging from personal experience to broader themes concerning the human condition, politics, music, and culture. The work is connected by “Contiguous Fractured Abstraction,” a distinctive approach in which an initial sketch is developed across multiple layers, with each layer fragmenting and reshaping the image. Rissler’s practice combines expressive abstraction with varied styles, including more realistic forms, and often involves complex, time-intensive exploration of a subject.

The site presents a gallery of current and past work, alongside a blog featuring project diaries, process notes, and images. Entries cover works such as the POP Combustion series, a commissioned large-scale painting, and studies connected to personal and musical influences. Visitors can learn about the artist’s background, training in fine art painting, art history, and computer science, and his approach to art and craft.

Selected works may be purchased directly from the artist, subject to availability, or through Saatchi Online.
