About
Description
Drake is a renowned brand with a rich history dating back to 1882. Originally known as Wilson Steam Boiler, the company was founded by John Morris Wilson in Omaha, NE. In 1893, George Drake, a skilled boiler maker, joined the company, followed by Hugh Williams in 1897.
The company's name was then changed to Drake-Wilson & Williams Company. Over the years, they expanded their operations and in 1901, the company purchased the land at 23rd & Hickory Streets, where their Rebar Division and Corporate Offices are still located. During the Great Depression and World War II, Drake-Williams-Mount Company survived by venturing into a new line of products, Omaha Buckets, which were highly successful.
In 1958, the company shifted its focus to structural steel fabrication and became known as Drake-Williams Steel. Today, Drake-Williams Steel continues to thrive, offering a wide range of products and services. They specialize in structural steel, miscellaneous steel, contract fabrication, railroad projects, concrete reinforcing, and paint services.
With a strong legacy and a commitment to excellence, Drake-Williams Steel is dedicated to building value for their employees, clients, vendors, and project teams
