# DXX-Rebirth - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `dxx-rebirth.com` ## Description DXX-Rebirth is a remarkable project dedicated to preserving and enhancing the beloved classic games, Descent and Descent 2. Founded in 2005, this source port was originally developed for Linux users, allowing a new generation of gamers to experience these iconic titles with modern improvements. The project, which includes both D1X-Rebirth and D2X-Rebirth, has attracted a loyal community of players and developers who share a passion for these fast-paced, 3D space shooters. Although Chris, the project's founder, stepped back in 2020 to focus on other commitments, he has ensured the last official versions of the games remain available for download, allowing fans to continue enjoying, modifying, and even building upon the original code. In addition, a C++ fork of the project can be found on GitHub, further encouraging ongoing contributions within the community. DXX-Rebirth stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Descent, reflecting the dedication of both its creator and its passionate user base. ## Industries - 🎮 Games - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology - 🖥 Video Game Design and Development _(under Computers Electronics and Technology)_ ## Links - [github](https://github.com/dxx-rebirth) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idzNQU9o8M/w/500/h/200/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780708948243) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Cornflower Blue | #6c76ff | accent | | Guardsman Red | #bb0000 | dark | | Laser | #cca569 | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
