Dzogchen Beara is a Tibetan Buddhist Retreat centre located on the serene Beara Peninsula in County Cork, Ireland. Founded in 1973 by Peter and Harriet Cornish, Dzogchen Beara is guided by the spiritual teachings of Sogyal Rinpoche, the author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying and the founder of Rigpa, an international network of Buddhist centers. Their vision for Dzogchen Beara was to create a spiritual home for people of all traditions, offering a place of refuge and spiritual exploration. Dzogchen Beara is a registered charity with the Irish Charities Regulator and is committed to upholding the Rigpa Code of Conduct, which reflects contemporary secular and Buddhist ethical standards.
