## Description

E-MAGIC, or the European Magnesium Interactive Battery Community, is a pioneering initiative funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. This project, running from January 2019 to December 2022, focuses on developing innovative rechargeable magnesium batteries (RMB) that harness the potential of magnesium metal as an anode. E-MAGIC aims to establish a new technological paradigm in micro-energy solutions through high-risk, high-reward research and innovation.

The core objectives of E-MAGIC include demonstrating practical reversible magnesium anodes, creating a novel solid-state magnesium-ion conducting electrolyte, and developing high-capacity sulfur-based cathodes. Additionally, the project emphasizes the integration of advanced cell components into efficient battery architectures and conducting feasibility studies to evaluate the RMB's role within hybrid micro-energy storage systems.

By reinforcing the magnesium-based battery community, E-MAGIC strives to lead advancements in sustainable energy technologies while providing an engaging platform for collaboration with industry partners and researchers alike. For further information, visit their website.
