## Description

Early Childhood Australia (ECA) is the leading and most respected advocacy organization for young children in Australia. With a rich history dating back to 1938, ECA has been a champion for quality early childhood education and care, ensuring social justice and equity for children aged birth to eight years. ECA represents over 2500 members nationwide, including educators, service providers, schools, universities, and other organizations dedicated to the well-being of Australian children. Our vast network allows us to provide expert insights on a wide range of issues, including child psychology, social and emotional well-being, and early childhood education and care. Through evidence-based advocacy, ECA influences federal government policies and addresses the challenges of affordability and accessibility in early childhood education and care (ECEC). As an authoritative voice, ECA actively contributes to public policy debates concerning health, family, and immigration. Committed to our vision of every young child thriving and learning, we prioritize speaking up for young children, collaborating for impact, championing quality in early education, leading professional learning, and being sustainable and effective as outlined in our Strategic Directions 2021-2024. With our experienced National Council, Board of Directors, and dedicated National Office, Early Childhood Australia continues to make a profound difference in the lives of Australian children and their families.
