## Description

REMA, the European Early Music Network, is dedicated to celebrating and promoting early music, which encompasses over a thousand years of musical heritage. Founded in 2013, it organizes Early Music Day, held annually on March 21st, coinciding with the beginning of spring and the birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach. This significant event features concerts, workshops, and activities across Europe, inviting participants worldwide to engage in a collective celebration of historical music.

The network consists of 176 members from over 20 countries, fostering cultural connections through performances that showcase medieval, renaissance, and baroque music. With a strong commitment to accessibility, many events are live-streamed, allowing global audiences to experience the richness of early music.

Partnering with the European Broadcasting Union and various local media outlets, REMA enhances visibility and engagement for this vital cultural tradition. By rediscovering lesser-known composers alongside renowned figures, REMA’s initiatives inspire a deeper appreciation for Europe’s shared musical legacy.
