## Description

Earth Day Savannah is a community festival that brings families, students, local organizations, businesses, and volunteers together to celebrate the planet and promote sustainability. The official site describes the event as the Savannah Earth Day Festival, founded and supported in part by the City of Savannah and produced by the Savannah Chatham Sustainability Coalition. Its mission is to connect education with inspiration and help people take practical steps toward a greener future.

The annual celebration offers eco-workshops and demonstrations, expert talks, live music and local performances, sustainable food vendors, recycling and green-living guidance, and exhibits from community organizations. Families can enjoy children’s activities, games, art, crafts, and creative spaces, while visitors can learn about topics such as renewable energy, waste reduction, composting, and biodiversity. The festival also provides opportunities to volunteer, meet neighbors, and connect with local environmental groups and green businesses. With free admission, Earth Day Savannah presents sustainability as an accessible, engaging part of everyday life and encourages community action through learning, shared experiences, and celebration.
