## Description

East Athens Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial arts academy in Athens, Georgia, offering a welcoming place to develop skills, confidence, and personal well-being. The school specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and also incorporates wrestling, No-Gi grappling, and judo into its primarily grappling-based training. Its instruction is designed for people with varied ages, fitness levels, and goals, whether they want to compete, enjoy learning martial arts, or grow as individuals. Adult classes emphasize community, skill development, and a safe, positive atmosphere. Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is available for children ages 10 and up, with training focused on coordination, confidence, and respect both on and off the mats. The academy describes its facility as clean and safe and invites newcomers to try a free introductory session. East Athens Jiu Jitsu was founded by Professor JR, who trained for 20 years in San Diego and received his black belt in 2012 from Paulo Fernando. His background includes wrestling and martial arts training in the Marines, informing the school’s supportive approach.
