## Description

East Coast Jumbos Hockey is a not-for-profit athletic organization offering positive athletic and social experiences to athletes with autism and other developmental disabilities through ice hockey. Founded in 2007 with five players, the program has grown to serve more than 50 athletes, from age seven through adulthood, and welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels. The Jumbos encourage each player to pursue personal goals and explore their potential while building confidence, communication skills, and relationships on and off the ice.

The organization offers a structured hockey program with seasonal registration, preseason activities, and scheduled practices, including Gold, Black, and White practice groups. It also organizes events and shares team news, photos, and opportunities to participate in community adaptive hockey activities. Prospective players, coaches, and volunteers must complete an interest and review process; all participants and staff are required to register with USA Hockey and contact the team before taking to the ice.
