## Description

East Coast Jumbos is a not-for-profit adaptive sports organization that uses ice hockey to create positive athletic and social experiences for people with autism and other developmental disabilities. Founded in 2007 with five players, the program has grown to serve more than 50 athletes, from age seven through adulthood. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome, and the organization encourages each participant to pursue personal goals and discover their potential. Alongside hockey, the Jumbos aim to help athletes build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop relationships on and off the rink.

The organization offers seasonal player registration, preseason camps, and scheduled practices, with Gold, Black, and White practice groups. Its calendar and event updates help members stay informed about activities and community appearances. Prospective players, coaches, and volunteers begin through a formal interest and review process; all must complete the required forms and register with USA Hockey before taking the ice.
