## Description

Miriam Raftery is an award-winning brand that operates East County Magazine, a nonprofit media organization aimed at serving San Diego's inland region. Their mission is to provide in-depth news, views, and events coverage for the diverse communities in the area. As an independent community media outlet, they make their own editorial decisions based on the public interest, not special interests. Their website, EastCountyMagazine.org, offers a wide range of content including top news, specialty sections like Tribal Beat and Latino Voices, and features on topics such as business, education, health, and politics. They also celebrate the region's attractions and cultural heritage through special sections like Best of East County and Arts and Music. In addition to their online presence, Miriam Raftery and her team operate the East County Wildfire & Emergency Alerts, keeping people safe and informed throughout San Diego County. They also host the East County Magazine radio show on KNSJ 89.1 FM. With an average of 10 million hits per month, Miriam Raftery has established themselves as a trusted and widely read source of local news in the East County area.
