## Description

East Fife Riding for the Disabled SCIO is a Scottish charity that uses horses and ponies to provide therapeutic and enjoyable activities for people with a range of disabilities. Serving its local community since 1976, the group promotes inclusion and wider participation, with an emphasis on social and environmental sustainability. It welcomes participants from school support units and nurture groups, care homes and supported living centres, as well as individuals, some of whom have been involved for decades.

An RDA Advanced Coach and a team of qualified coaches deliver a varied programme supported by activity leaders and trained volunteers. Activities include riding sessions, stable management and grooming, offering participants opportunities to engage with horses in different ways. The group also provides a social dimension through informal gatherings, including tea and events in its Sensory Garden. East Fife RDA is a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association, which also incorporates carriage driving.
