## Description

The Eastland Disaster Historical Society (EDHS) is a charitable organization dedicated to preserving the memory of the Eastland Disaster and honoring its victims, survivors, and heroes. Founded in 1998 by Susan Decker and Barbara Decker Wachholz, granddaughters of survivor Borghild Amelia Aanstad, along with Jean Decker and Ted Wachholz, EDHS aims to create lasting legacies for those affected by this tragic event. With a mission to keep the memory of the disaster alive, EDHS offers a range of informative resources and engaging programs. Their website provides a comprehensive history of the Eastland Disaster, along with a gallery showcasing images and news related to the event. To support their cause, you can contribute through donations or become a member of EDHS. You can also stay connected with their activities by subscribing to their email list. To help raise awareness, EDHS offers merchandise for purchase, allowing you to show your support and share the story of the Eastland Disaster. They also organize public programs and events, including the upcoming 100th Commemoration. By actively engaging with EDHS, you can become a part of their mission to preserve the memory of this tragic event and honor the lives affected by it.
