## Description

East Side Rolling is a no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling gym in Newton, Adelaide, welcoming beginners while also training experienced grapplers and competitors. Led by Coach Mark, the gym offers a friendly, practical introduction to grappling, with an emphasis on learning safely, building consistency and enjoying training. Newcomers can get started by attending a Fundamentals class or watching a session first; no email or joining fee is required.

Fundamentals classes cover basic ground control, escapes, takedowns and submissions through warm-ups, technique practice and introductory live drilling or sparring. Invite-only competition classes provide advanced techniques, harder drills and additional sparring for students beyond beginner level. Open mats offer informal training, with a coach available for questions. Adult sessions run Tuesday to Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, with rest days on Monday, Friday and Sunday.

Training is available through casual visits or monthly memberships, with separate rates for adults and children. The gym is on the second level of the Newton Court Complex, above the chicken shop.
