## Description

EAT-Atlantique is a regional association supporting and promoting playwrights in the Pays de la Loire, France. Since 2010, it has organised collective initiatives to introduce local dramatic writers and showcase the different dimensions of their work. The association creates opportunities for writers to meet artistic teams and take part in cultural events with regional partners, including libraries, cultural centres, municipal theatres and supported performance venues.

A central part of its work is artistic and educational outreach. Writers lead drama-writing workshops in schools, where students explore playwriting and collaborate on a piece shaped by the group’s shared experience. EAT-Atlantique also encourages writing residencies in primary schools, middle schools and high schools. Its travelling library brings together published works and manuscripts by association members, helping readers discover their writing. In addition, the organisation represents playwrights, provides a space for information and discussion about their professional status, and relays initiatives from the national EAT network.
