## Description

Old Ebbitt Grill, established in 1856, holds the title of being DC's oldest saloon. Located just steps away from The White House and downtown, this historic landmark offers a unique dining experience steeped in rich history. Originally a boarding house, Old Ebbitt's guest list boasted famous statesmen, naval and military heroes, and even Presidents Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, and Warren Harding. The restaurant has a fascinating past, having moved locations multiple times before settling into its current spot at 675 15th Street NW within the Beaux-Arts building that was once the old B. F. Keith's Theater. The Victorian interior is adorned with priceless antiques and memorabilia, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Washington saloons. Home to the famous Oyster Bar and featuring exceptional oysters and winning wines from the Old Ebbitt Grill International Wines for Oysters Competition, this iconic establishment is a must-visit for history buffs and food enthusiasts alike. Reservations are recommended, and gluten-free options are available upon request.
