## Description

Vierte Eberswalder Wortspiele is a literature festival that brings writers, performers and audiences together in Eberswalde for three days of readings, conversation, quizzes, food and live performance. Organised by the SlamKollektiv Eberswalde, which has presented events in the city since 2018, the festival reflects the collective’s enthusiasm for language and the stage. Its programme combines literary experiences with welcoming, participatory events for local residents and visitors.

The 2026 edition features a reading and discussion with author and poetry slam performer Aidin Halimi, a pub quiz spanning literature and local knowledge, and a vegan brunch with readings by authors from the Barnim region. The festival also presents feminist cabaret by Sunna Huygen, blending humour, poetry and social commentary. Events take place at venues including Buchhandlung Mysak, KATI-Hausbrauerei, Café im BBZ and Café Schmelze. Some activities offer advance tickets or team registration, while the brunch welcomes advance reservations.
