## Description

The Escola Brasileira de Psicanálise (EBP), or Brazilian School of Psychoanalysis, is an institution founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1995 by the World Association of Psychoanalysis. It belongs to the Lacanian Field movement established by Jacques Lacan and shares a common orientation with other schools in the World Association while retaining institutional autonomy. The EBP’s central purpose is psychoanalysis: restoring its truth, transmitting its knowledge, and submitting that knowledge to scientific discussion and scrutiny. It provides psychoanalytic formation and supports members’ ongoing relationship with that training, placing it in debate. The school operates through sections across Brazil, including Bahia, Leste Oeste, Minas Gerais, Nordeste, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Sul. Its activities and resources include study and exchange through cartels, events such as the Jornada de Cartéis, and publications from national and regional sections. The EBP also offers library services, including the Biblioteca Una online catalogue, digital collections, and an audiotheque, alongside an online bookstore. Its website provides information about membership, educational activities, publications, and contact channels.
