## Description

European Coalition for Israel (ECI) is a grassroots movement launched in Brussels in 2003 to promote better relations between Europe and Israel through advocacy and education. Founded as “a coalition of all the others,” it brought together non-Jews who believed they had a moral responsibility to stand up for the Jewish people and the State of Israel. ECI shares information and perspectives on European and international policy through press releases, media coverage, its European Report, educational resources and policy conferences.

Its initiatives include providing educational material on the San Remo Declaration of 1920 and the Mandate for Palestine of 1922, which ECI presents as foundations for understanding Israel’s legal rights. Through its Churches Against Antisemitism network, the organization seeks to preserve Holocaust memory, raise awareness of antisemitism and encourage churches to adopt the IHRA definition. Celebrate Israel is a global broadcast initiative, while the ECI Young Leaders Academy offers training and a forum for young professionals and students interested in promoting the cause of Israel.
