G. O. Wind Turbines is a project developed by 16 students from the Master in Product Design at the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL).

The primary goal of this initiative is to explore innovative and aesthetic ways of integrating wind turbines into natural landscapes and local cultures, all within a context of sustainable development. Through a case study conducted on Fogo Island, Canada, known for its natural beauty and abundant wind, the students created eight imaginative and pragmatic designs of wind turbines carefully informed by diverse approaches. In collaboration with various partners, including Shorefast and HEIG-VD/School of Management and Engineering Vaud, this project is anchored in sustainability and seeks to address concerns about the aesthetic and visual impact of wind turbines.

The project culminates in an exhibition in Milan and a presentation in San Francisco, aimed at highlighting innovative solutions for the integration of wind turbines. U. F.
