## Description

Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) is an indigenous Nigerian non-profit organization founded in 2001 to improve lives through better access to education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Working across 17 states, ECEWS partners with communities, government bodies, and international organizations to support vulnerable people and promote sustainable change.

Its programs span economic strengthening, education, and health. Healthcare initiatives include malaria prevention and treatment, HIV epidemic control, emergency response, disease management, and community-based health insurance. Education programs help children access learning opportunities and build brighter futures, while economic empowerment activities support individuals and households working to overcome poverty.

ECEWS also develops practical tools and innovations to strengthen services and decision-making. These include EDDGAR, which uses GIS and remote sensing to turn health data into maps and insights; DiRA, a digital assistant for more accurate and efficient health records; and the Adolescent Lounge, which provides a space to explore, learn, act, and seek support. Through projects, partnerships, and community-focused services, ECEWS works to create lasting improvements in health, education, and livelihoods.
