## Description

Echi di Storia is a history festival organised by the Ticino Association of History Teachers and held at Asilo Ciani in Lugano, Switzerland. It brings history into conversation with contemporary life, using the past to explore questions that matter to the present and future. The festival invites respected voices from Swiss and European cultural life to examine a different theme through talks, discussions, educational activities and performances. Past themes have included courage and margins, while the 2026 edition focused on peoples, identity, migration, borders and rights.

Alongside public events, Echi di Storia offers workshops for secondary-school classes and professional development in history education. Its programme also includes activities for children and theatrical productions combining historical storytelling, literature and live music. The festival shares information about its guests and editions, as well as press releases, media resources and coverage. Through this varied programme, Echi di Storia creates opportunities for audiences of different ages to engage with historical research, diverse perspectives and the ways societies understand themselves.
