## Description

Ecolibri Organization | San Marcos La Laguna is a registered non-profit organization that has been working with indigenous communities around Lake Atitlán, Guatemala since 2004. Their primary goal is to increase access to education for indigenous students in the region. With Guatemala having one of the highest illiteracy rates in the western world, Ecolibri recognizes the need for inclusive and equitable educational opportunities. They partner with local schools to identify students in need of support to help them stay in school, increase literacy, and achieve their full potential. Ecolibri's program pairs international sponsors with students, providing them with an annual stipend for school materials, uniforms, sports clothes, shoes, and a daily healthy snack. By sponsoring a child, you can make a lasting impact on their education and future. Additionally, Ecolibri engages in various projects such as sustainable community farming, supporting indigenous artisans, installing sustainable stoves, and providing food aid during times of crisis. Your support can help advance education, improve health, empower women, and inspire creativity in these underserved communities.
