## Description

The Center for Ecoliteracy is an organization focused on education for the sustainability of people and the planet. For 30 years, it has worked to transform learning in classrooms, cafeterias, and gardens, connecting education with practical approaches to healthier, more hopeful futures for children. Its programs span education, school food policy and advocacy, and systems change, with a particular emphasis on food justice and equitable access to free, nutritious school meals.

The Center provides resources for educators, farmers, and school communities. These include farm-to-school activities, case studies, procurement guidance, and materials to help schools source local food. Its publications also offer recipes for school meals, guidance on building resilient farm-to-school programs, and activities for introducing young children to fruits and vegetables. The organization advocates for policies that support nutritious school food and shares updates on funding and state priorities. Through its educational resources, events, advocacy, and programs, the Center helps communities explore how food and learning can contribute to sustainable change.
