## Description

Economic Sociology & Political Economy is a global community of academics, practitioners, and activists led by Dr. Oleg Komlik. The platform explores how economic life is shaped by social relationships, institutions, culture, and political power, bringing research and public discussion together for readers interested in these connections.

Its website publishes commentary, scholarly ideas, interviews, videos, and community contributions on topics including capitalism, finance, markets, labor, inequality, public policy, economic history, and social movements. Regular posts highlight new research and debates, while curated academic opportunities help readers discover calls for papers, jobs, postdoctoral positions, scholarships, grants, and summer schools. The site also shares online talks and resources such as the Karl Polanyi Bibliographic Database of Scholarship and Digital Archive.

Visitors can learn about economic sociology, explore the ES/PE community, and follow updates through email subscriptions and social media. By connecting academic perspectives with practical and activist interests, Economic Sociology & Political Economy offers an accessible forum for examining economic and political issues and sharing work across disciplines and communities.
