## Description

EconomiX is a research laboratory in economics jointly operated by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Université Paris Nanterre. Established in 2005 through the merger of four CNRS research units, it is a mixed research unit (UMR 7235) and part of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences. With around 200 members, including approximately 60 doctoral researchers, EconomiX is one of the major centres for economic research and research training in the Île-de-France region.

The laboratory combines empirical approaches with theoretical development across three broad areas: transitions, environment, energy, institutions and territories; behaviour, law and well-being; and international macroeconomics, finance, commodities and financial econometrics. Its work addresses economic and societal questions such as ecological change, individual decision-making, regulation, health, inequality, financial markets and economic policy.

EconomiX shares its research through academic publications, working papers, books, seminars, conferences and workshops. It also hosts visiting professors, supports doctoral examinations and provides information about training and recruitment.
