## Description

EcoPassenger is an innovative and user-friendly platform focused on promoting sustainable transportation choices. Recognizing that over a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions stem from the transportation sector, EcoPassenger aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of travel decisions. Developed through a collaboration between the International Railways Union (UIC), the Sustainable Development Foundation, ifeu, and HaCon, this tool provides a scientific methodology for evaluating energy consumption and emissions across planes, cars, and trains.

The EcoPassenger calculator allows users to compare the energy use, CO2 emissions, and exhaust pollutants from various modes of travel while considering the entire energy lifecycle, from production to consumption. This comprehensive approach enables travelers to make informed choices tailored to their specific journeys, utilizing localized data for better accuracy. With detailed insights and adaptive settings, EcoPassenger empowers users to choose greener travel options, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable future in transportation.
