ECOS, also known as the Environmental Council of the States, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the ability of state and territorial environmental agencies to safeguard and enhance public health and the environment. Established in December 1993, ECOS brings together leaders from these agencies to promote effective environmental management at both the federal and state levels.
