## Description

The Naoero Citizenship Program, officially known as the Naoero Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program, is an initiative administered by the Naoero Program Office. It offers eligible applicants a pathway to citizenship through a contribution to the Naoero Treasury Fund, supporting climate adaptation, sustainable development, infrastructure, renewable energy and biodiversity preservation in the Republic of Naoero. The program presents citizenship as an opportunity to support an island nation facing climate challenges while gaining a second passport and greater travel flexibility. Applicants may include a spouse and dependents, including parents and siblings, and the program states that dual citizenship is unrestricted and there is no minimum stay requirement. Applications are submitted through licensed agents, who help assess eligibility, prepare documents and guide applicants through due diligence. The process typically takes three to four months, according to the program. The Program Office provides application support, information and contact services, alongside factsheets, brochures, news and frequently asked questions. It also notes a limited-time contribution discount for qualifying applications filed before December 31, 2026.
