Welcome to the website of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). ECREA is a distinguished learned society dedicated to the advancement of communication research and higher education in Europe. With a strong focus on bottom-up organizational culture, ECREA empowers communication scholars through its 25 thematic Sections, 4 Temporary Working Groups, and 3 permanent Networks. These groups provide platforms for scholars to explore various fields of communication studies, including emerging and underrepresented areas within media and communication studies. 

Led by an Executive Board and chaired by over one hundred dedicated volunteers, ECREA fosters a vibrant community driven by creativity and enthusiasm.
