Edba is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act of Alberta, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of badminton in Zone 6 of Alberta, including Edmonton and its surrounding areas. As a member of Badminton Alberta, the provincial governing body for badminton, Edba organizes and promotes various badminton programs and events. With 22 community badminton clubs and private clubs like the Royal Glenora, the Derrick Club, and the B-Active Badminton Club, Edba represents approximately 900 badminton players in Edmonton.

They offer a range of valuable programs and services, including coach development, junior and adult badminton training, hosting of tournaments, and volunteering for local, provincial, national, and international badminton events held in Edmonton. Additionally, Edba collaborates with schools to encourage badminton within the school community. To make badminton accessible to people of all ages, Edba operates a badminton subsidy program, reducing the cost of playing badminton.
