## Description

The European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH) is a pivotal initiative designed to enhance Diamond Open Access (OA) publishing across Europe. Emerging from a growing political commitment to promote equitable and transparent scholarly publishing, the EDCH supports a collaborative framework for institutions, national and disciplinary capacity centers, and Diamond publishers. It builds on the foundational work of the DIAMAS and CRAFT-OA projects, which aimed to develop a robust infrastructure for Diamond OA by identifying challenges and establishing essential resources. The EDCH provides tailored services including coordination, sustainability assistance, training modules, and advanced technical tools, fostering capacity-building in the Diamond OA community. With financial backing from leading research organizations, the EDCH stands as a long-term endeavor, ensuring the growth and sustainability of Diamond OA publishing in Europe. Its mission is to support scholarly communication efforts that reflect high-quality and trustworthy research outputs, contributing to the broader goals of open science.
