## Description

Edelweiss Child Care Centre is a privately owned, family-run early childhood education and care centre in Mortdale, in Sydney’s St George area. Operating at 42–46 Balmoral Road, the centre has served local families for more than 40 years, including over 25 years under its current owners, Carolyn and Michael. Their daughter Lisa, who joined the team in 2000 after completing university, is now Centre Director and oversees daily operations.

The centre welcomes children aged two to six in a long day care setting, open weekdays from 7am to 6pm. Its play-based curriculum combines engaging educational programs and activities with a school readiness program, supporting children as they learn, play and prepare for their school years and beyond. Edelweiss emphasizes a warm, family-oriented environment and attentive care, helping children and families feel comfortable as they begin their time at the centre. Its team draws on experience in early childhood education and care to support children’s development.
