## Description

Edencast is a French-language platform dedicated to supporting the autonomy of people with visual impairments, with a particular focus on assistive technology. Founded in April 2010 by a blind person, it provides a free space for practical information, discussion and community exchange.

The platform publishes editorial content and podcasts, and hosts forums where members can share questions and experiences. Its software library helps users discover applications and other tools, while classified ads connect the community around relevant products. Edencast also features community contributions, technology updates and information about events. Topics include accessible mobile applications and assistive devices, alongside everyday issues raised by members.

Visitors can browse recent discussions and publications, or create a free account to follow conversations and access private messages. Account requests are reviewed by the Edencast team. The platform also offers an application designed with screen-reader users in mind and intended to provide a more comfortable experience on mobile devices.
