## Description

Eisenbahnfreunde Tuttlingen e.V. is a railway enthusiasts’ association in Tuttlingen, Germany, founded in 1963. Its aim is to bring together people interested in railways, both in real life and as models, and to encourage appreciation of rail transport among young and old. The club welcomes newcomers and offers a trial period for those curious about joining.

A key focus is its youth group, which meets regularly at the club’s home to learn practical model-making skills, including drilling, sanding, gluing and milling. Members also plan and build a modular model railway, a project they have pursued since 1999. The association supports visiting model railway builders with advice and assistance.

For an interest in full-size railways, the club arranges one or two excursions each year to facilities such as railway depots, repair works, marshalling yards, new lines and rail-technology businesses. Members meet regularly in a former signal box on the Gäubahn. The club also hosts public exhibitions of its modular layout and organizes social events, including a summer celebration, family outings and a Christmas gathering.
