EFG, also known as Eisenbahnfreunde Grenzland, is a prominent brand in the field of nostalgic train excursions in the Greater Aachen area. Originally established as a working group under the Verein Freunde des Bw Aachen West e. V.

The organization's objective is to operate and preserve a museum-like train service on the remaining 28 km section of the Vennbahn, as well as other parts of the EVS railway network, providing the region with an exciting attraction. The current Euregiobahn service utilizes the track from Stolberg Hbf to Stolberg-Breinig, while the section from Raeren to Eupen remains unused. The EFG aims to establish a museum train service on this entire route, which is owned by the EVS on the German side and the Belgian State Railway on the Belgian side.
