## Description

EHBO Waalwijk is the Waalwijk branch of the Royal Dutch First Aid Association, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to promoting responsible first aid for people experiencing sudden health problems or accidents. Established in 1959, the local association brings together enthusiastic members, qualified instructors and volunteer casualty actors who support its training and community activities.

The association offers first-aid courses and refresher training, including basic first aid, children’s first aid, walking-related injuries and bleeding control. It also provides CPR courses and practice sessions as a partner of the Dutch Heart Foundation, along with competency-based assessments, talks, tailored courses and workplace emergency response (BHV) training.

EHBO Waalwijk members provide first-aid support at events across the area. Their activities include the youth evening walking events in Waalwijk’s districts, King’s Day celebrations, festivals and sporting events such as the Drunense Duinenloop and RKC Waalwijk events. Through education and event support, the association helps people develop practical first-aid skills and contributes to local community safety.
