## Description

The Einstein Foundation Berlin is a public-interest foundation that supports outstanding, independent research in and for Berlin at an international level. It strengthens the city’s role as a centre of scientific excellence by funding exceptional researchers and promising early-career talent. More than 250 researchers have received its support to date.

The foundation offers ten funding programmes for individuals, research teams and institutions. These include Einstein Professorships, Visiting Fellowships, Postdoctoral Grants, Guest Researcher awards, Research Units, Einstein Centres and support for research projects. Its programmes span a range of career stages and research structures, with dedicated opportunities such as the Einstein BUA/Oxford Visiting Fellow and Einstein Berlin/HUJI initiatives.

Beyond funding, the Einstein Foundation shares research with wider audiences through events, podcasts, interviews, articles and other media. Its public programme includes lectures, discussions and activities connected with Berlin’s science community. The foundation also highlights the work of its fellows, professors and Einstein Centres, helping audiences engage with research topics and developments across disciplines.
