## Description

The EIT HEI Initiative is a transformative platform dedicated to boosting innovation and entrepreneurship capacity in higher education. Through competitive calls for proposals, this initiative awards non-reimbursable grants to consortia of higher education institutions (HEIs) and their partners to work on innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic interests like deep tech. By empowering and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, research institutions, and governmental organizations, the EIT HEI Initiative aims to enhance the innovation mindset of HEIs. With 65 projects and €69 million awarded supporting 359 HEIs and 380+ non-academic organizations, along with training over 40,000 students and staff, the EIT HEI Initiative is making a tangible impact.
