## Description

The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation is committed to bringing a multicultural spirit to children's literature. They celebrate outstanding picture book illustrators and writers early in their careers with the EJK Award, given annually in partnership with the de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to the EJK Award, the foundation offers the EJK Bookmaking Competition for public schools, providing an opportunity for students to make reading, writing, and illustrating fun. They also have an impressive selection of tools and resources for educators, including virtual and in-person learning tools, book discussion guides, and the Mock EJK Award program. The foundation also offers a 30-minute documentary film, "Tell Me Another Story," which provides a compelling history of diversity in children’s literature. Through their work, the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation continues to make a significant impact in the world of children's literature.
