## Description

Ekavi, also known as “Shelter of Affection,” is a senior-care residence in Glyfada, Greece, built around the belief that later life can remain creative, active and fulfilling. The organization aims to provide older people with a caring home where their physical, emotional and spiritual needs are considered, alongside comfort, companionship and personal attention. Ekavi recognizes residents as valued members of families and communities, and encourages frequent visits from relatives, including younger family members, to help sustain close relationships across generations.

Its approach extends beyond residential care to offer opportunities for social connection and participation. Activities and events highlighted by Ekavi include a theatre group, barbecues, picnics, excursions to the beach and visits to cultural venues such as the Acropolis Museum, as well as celebrations and community gatherings. These experiences support an engaged daily life and create shared moments for residents, staff and visitors. Ekavi is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Elderly Care Units, and presents itself as a place of affection, dignity and companionship for older people.
