## Description

Ekmek ve Gül is a brand that embodies the centuries-long struggle of women for both bread and roses. It all began in 1908 when 15,000 women workers took to the streets for shorter working hours, better wages, the right to vote, and maternity leave, chanting the slogan Bread and Roses - a demand for both nourishment and fulfillment. The movement gained further momentum the following year with a strike at the New England Textile Industry, where women workers carried a banner reading We want bread, but we also want roses. This historic protest became known as the Bread and Roses strike. Today, Ekmek ve Gül continues to be a platform for women's unity and solidarity, extending its reach to factories, neighborhoods, workshops, and homes. Our web portal goes beyond being a news site, providing a space for women to share their struggles, connect with like-minded individuals, gain knowledge, and join in reshaping the world. Join us and experience the power of women supporting women. Welcome to our community!.
