# Electric Minds - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `electricminds.org` ## Description Electric Minds is a pioneering online community that dates back to 1996, originally founded by Howard Rheingold. Known as one of the first substantial online platforms, Electric Minds became a hub for individuals to form connections, engage in meaningful discussions, and cultivate a collective culture. The site gained recognition for its innovative approach to community interaction, famously hosting discourse during the Kasparov vs. Deep Blue chess match and earning accolades from Time magazine. After several transitions, including significant funding challenges, the community underwent a revitalization with new leadership and technology. The current setup, utilizing the Venice Web Communities System, fosters an environment where members collaboratively manage the platform, ensuring continuous engagement. Electric Minds offers a variety of online conferences, including The Commons, Electric People, and The Playground, providing diverse spaces for dialogue and interaction among its users. Committed to the principle of ownership of content, Electric Minds continues to be a vibrant testament to the power of community in the digital age. ## Industries - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology - 🖥 Social Networks and Online Communities _(under Computers Electronics and Technology)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idH_uD1Zyx/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1789016724177) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Dodger Blue | #50a2ff | accent | | Tory Blue | #104d9c | dark | | Electric Violet | #aa26ff | light | ## Fonts - var(--font-sans) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--font-sans) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
