## Description

Save the Elephants (STE) is a pioneering conservation organization founded in 1993 by Dr. Iain Douglas-Hamilton, a leading expert on African elephants. With a focus on research, education, and grassroots conservation, STE operates various projects across Africa and beyond, utilizing innovative technologies such as GPS collars to monitor elephant movements. The organization aims to mitigate human-elephant conflict through initiatives like the Elephants and Bees Project, which employs beehive fences as a natural deterrent against crop-raiding elephants, fostering harmony between wildlife and local communities.

STE's commitment extends to scientific research on elephant behavior, population trends, and the ivory trade, providing crucial data for conservation efforts. Their diverse programs also promote women's enterprises, education, and permaculture gardening, reinforcing community engagement and sustainability. With a team of experts, including renowned conservationists and researchers, Save the Elephants continues to lead the charge in elephant conservation, working tirelessly to protect these majestic creatures and their habitats for future generations.
