ELI Beamlines is a leading laser research center and part of the Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC pan-European Research Infrastructure. With a team of over 350 researchers, engineers, and professionals from more than 28 countries, ELI Beamlines offers cutting-edge high-power femtosecond lasers that reach unprecedented intensities. The facility operates several laser beamlines, including femtosecond sources of X-rays and accelerated particles. ELI Beamlines has 5 experimental halls and an advanced biology laboratory, providing researchers from various fields with state-of-the-art facilities for their studies. As a user center, ELI Beamlines welcomes research teams from other institutions, universities, and companies to use their unique ultra-intense lasers and experimental facilities. Internal researchers also carry out their projects within the facility. With a focus on multidisciplinary research, ELI Beamlines aims to revolutionize scientific experiments and applications in fields such as physics, astrophysics, chemistry, biology, material science, and medicine by combining advanced laser pulses with high intensity and auxiliary particle sources or X-rays.
